PSTN and ISDN networks are going to be switched off in 2025, so now is the time to switch to a cloud based phone system with Fab Spider. They will switched off in favour of IP voice services, with a gradual phase out of the older systems starting in 2020. At this point we will stop taking ISDN orders and all businesses will be forced to use our VoIP based options for their business telephony systems.

How long does it take to install?

The good news is there is no install. All you need is a broadband connection, the IP desk phones and numbers. We send out the IP desk phones for next day delivery all pre-configured. We can add numbers to your account immediately and configured the same day.

What if I move premise?

That is not a problem. The system is not geographically dependant. You can just pack up the phones and plug them into your new office and away you go. We do offer site to site installation with a one off call out charge.

Do I need broadband?

Yes. To install a VoIP system in your office you will need an internet connection.

Can I keep my broadband or do I need to switch to Fab Spider?

That is entirely up to you really. Our VoIP system works with all major UK ISPs. If you wish to switch to Fab Spider we can transfer you over. Read more about our Business Grade Fibre Broadband here.

Can I keep my number?

Most numbers can be transferred to Fab Spider. Please call our office on 01422 822 122 to see if your number can.

What if I can’t keep my number?

You have some options. We can forward calls to your new number. You can still use Fab Spider as an alternative secondary phone line. Or you can pick a new number.

Can I pick a new number?

Yes. One of the benefits of VoIP is that it is not geographically dependant. You can pick from a variety of different UK area codes, UK non geographic numbers plus international numbers.
